Brandywine Property Master Plan

Peninsula, Ohio

Following the closure of the Brandywine Golf Course, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) acquired a portion of the parcel for use in creating a new park development, one that would serve a much wider population. CVNP retained a consultant to develop programming and a fundraising approach, but without an actual plan in place, the document was incomplete. Boulevard Studios, therefore, was brought aboard to develop a master plan to identify how the programming pieces would lay out on the property while respecting existing wooded areas, maximizing open space, and capturing views of the Cuyahoga River.

The plan would bring new energy to the property, proposing an events center and outdoor amphitheater, adventure amenities, and play facilities. Pathways and parking will serve to bring people closer to the river in an area where a private golf course once stood.
